Here is a global warming (though we're not supposed to use that term anymore) PSA courtesy of MTV for their 'Switch' campaign from the mid-2000s, a campaign which appears to have been solely on fighting climate change (the more appropriate term).
Although this PSA is from Portugal, I used to see this play quite a lot during ad breaks here in the UK on the MTV channel (or one of their affiliate channels they seem to have an abundance of back then).
I'm not entirely sure why, but I used to find this PSA quite unnerving - it was probably the lack of sound bar the sound of ocean waves, and the sort of washed-out colours added to the topic of global warming itself, which used to frighten me a lot back then (and still sorta does now, though at this point I've come to terms with the fact that the planet is screwed irreparably).
All in all, it's a pretty good PSA. It's another one of those PSAs that don't have to resort to graphic visuals or imagery to get their message across... in fact, all they use is sign language - and I like how they played on the "using your hands" thing at the end. Probably not the best PSA for blind or visually impaired people though... it must have been confusing to just hear the sound of waves for a good minute and a half during an ad break. Conversely, a great one for deaf people.
Also, brownie points if you can spot the typo.
