How to Set 300 DPI in Photoshop

Creating and setting Photoshop document to a revolution of 300 DPI may be a useful thing for sending to a standard ink jet printer.
1. Open Adobe Photoshop. Click on "File" menu. From the sub-menu that appears, click "New".
2. In the "New" window, set the required settings for the document. But in the "Revolution" text field, enter 300. This is the text field, where you can set DPI for Photoshop document. Make sure that the revolution is set to "pixels/inch". Click OK. This is how to set 300 DPI for a new Photoshop document.
3. If you want to set 300 DPI for an existing image in Photoshop, then click on "File" menu. From the sub-menu that appears, click "Open". From the "Open" window, select the image and click "Open".
4. Click on the "Image" menu. Click on the "Image Size..." option when the sub-menu appears.
5. In the "Image Size" window, you can set the settings for the image and DPI. In the "Revolution" text field, enter 300. Make sure that the revolution is set to "pixels/inch". Click OK.
As a result, the image will be set to 300 DPI.
