2012 Model Caregiver Awards - Jumiyah Surat, Model Caregiving Domestic Helper Award
Jumiyah has cared for her employer's mentally-disabled brother and elderly mother with dementia for the last nine years. The 39-year-old from Indonesia has demonstrated compassion and dedication in looking after her care recipients, juggling her caregiving role and much of the household chores effectively and competently. Over the years, Jumiyah has grown to love her employer's family as her own, and she is determined to make life as comfortable and fulfilling as possible for them.
