In the latest version of FluoRender, the ruler tools can be used to sample fluorescence intensity values. A locator will report the intensity value at a single point; rulers with certain length will report the maximum intensity value along the ruler. All ruler tools can be moved around to "scan" a data set, as the intensity information updates with the movements. Use a polyline ruler or the pencil tool for curved shapes. An option allows automatic background compensation and the intensity values are computed as a ratio of ΔF/F.
