Rich Text Editors
Rich Text Editors can create documents with different text formatting elements. Two examples of Rich Text Editors are:

WordPad is a word processing software of MS Windows. A word processing software is a program that is used to create, edit, and format a document.

AbiWord is a free and open-source software word processing software. AbiWord was originally started by SourceGear Corporation as the first part of a proposed AbiSuite but was adopted by open source developers.

PARTS OF THE WORDPAD

Quick Access Toolbar
The quick access toolbar provides button shortcuts to frequently used commands such as save, undo, and redo.

WordPad Button
The WordPad button is a drop down list of other commands like to create a new document, open a new document, print, and more.

Ribbon
The ribbon contains buttons that are used to change the appearance of the text and the document. The ribbon changes depending on the tab that is currently used. It’s either the home tab or the view tab.

Ruler
The ruler tells the position of text on the page and the size of the margin.

Document Area
The document area is the largest part of the WordPad window. This area is where you type and format your text.

Zoom Option
The zoom option lets you zoom in or zoom out the document.
