When Jay and her partner brought Miss Pia in from rescue, I have to say I had my reservations as to whether she would make it.
Only 13 weeks old and weighing 182 grams and 162 grams underweight, severely dehydrated, suffering raging bilateral fungal wing infections, a belly wound and other miscellaneous wounds, I wasn't hopeful.
However, such is the resilience of youth that she has bounced back and is now 296 grams which is still under what she should be but we are well on the way.
Her wings are completely clear of infection, her fur is growing back and she is flying.
Don't touch but please call in any bat by itself through the day as it's in trouble and you too might be able to save a little battie like Miss Pia.
