Good afternoon everyone and how lovely it is to be back.
I've been off the planet for nearly two weeks suffering from some despicable virus that completely took me out but thankfully, it's effects are now abating.
A huge thank you to Kat for so lovingly caring for my babies Kestrel and Willy Wagtail during my illness and for bringing them back home this morning.
On another note, Mr Batzilla has been doing the books for 2022 and he discovered the enormous costs and work involved in rehabilitating our flying-foxes back to the wild.
The list includes but is not limited to 2516 kg pears, 642 kg bananas, 432 mangoes, 280 kg apples and 883 kg paw paw!
Flappy bats off to Mr Batzilla who buys, transports and packs the fruit into our fridges as well as breaking down the boxes, transporting them to the recycling centre a couple of times per week, chops 20 to 30 kilos per night, threads the apple kebabs, loads up the trays and hangs them before cleaning up the waste and disposing of it several times per week.
365 days per year. You're a gem Mr Batzilla!
