Have you ever wondered what drove Les Paul to create the modern recording industry with multi-track recording, over-dubbing, the solid body electric guitar and much more? Hear technical explanations of Les’ inventions plus behind-the-scenes stories from some of the people who knew him best.
Michael Braunstein, Executive Director of the Les Paul Foundation, was Les’ longtime Business Manager.
Sue Baker, Program Director of the Les Paul Foundation, became good friends with Les Paul the last ten years of his life and has conducted extensive research on the man.
John Merchant, Chair of the Music Industry Department at Middle Tennessee State University is on Les Paul Foundation’s Advisory Council and has his own recording studio where he has worked with artists including the Bee Gees, Barbara Streisand, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion and many more.
Sue will share the back story of Les’ earliest inventions and a few amusing tales of a rascally and ferociously creative young boy. John will dissect Les’ industry-changing inventions. Michael will explain how the Les Paul Foundation continues to carry on Les’ legacy.
