Moving beyond mono and stereo formats, AES NY section is diving into multidimensional audio. We’ll discuss ambisonics, 360 and immersive audio techniques and its use in VR as well as other applications from capture to the listening experience. Join us to discuss with industry professionals and some of the people digging into the research of this evolving field.

Sarah Gibble-Laska
Sarah Gibble-Laska is the CEO and co-founder of Chapter Four, a creative technology and post-production company based in NYC. As a sound designer and audio post engineer, Sarah’s work has been featured in Oscar-nominated films, podcasts, immersive content, television, web series and commercials. Sarah utilizes textural and emotive sound design to maximize the immersive experience and push the boundaries of storytelling.
Marta Gospodarek
Marta Gospodarek is a PhD candidate in Music Technology at NYU. Her research interests lie in the intersection of spatial audio, psychoacoustics, acoustics and sound design applied to the context of Virtual and Mixed Reality. Marta is a member of NYU Future Reality Lab where she works as a lead sound designer for VR/AR experiences (e.g. “Mary and the Monster” which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival 2020). Marta works with Prof. Anat Lubetzky at NYU Physical Therapy Sensorimotor Lab where she investigates auditory influence on postural control. Currently, Marta is pursuing a Chateaubriand Scholarship at IRCAM (Paris) where she is exploring sound perception in AR environments.
