Ok, so I lied. Shinya isn't the love of my life. Obi is. Actually I fell in love with Obi way before Shinya. Obi was my first real anime """crush""" (I hate the word crush). But yeah, he stole my heart first and part of it will always be his. There's too many sexy anime men. It's a problem.
So Obi is from one of my favorite anime series, Akagami no Shirayukihime (Snow White With the Red Hair). It was one of the first ones I watched and it's one of my comfort anime. It just makes me feel so happy and soft. It has soft romance (even if I don't really ship the canon couple), it has humor, it has drama, it has action and suspense, it has likable characters, it has found family...and most importantly.....it has Obi.
I love Obi with every piece of my heart. My life was incomplete without him. He is a fucking sweetheart. He's an assassin turned bodyguard/attendant, but he can be so soft and sweet. He's also sassy. And he sexy. What a fine collection of lines he is.
And even though he is considered the tritagonist (third most important character), his plot is still pretty undeveloped. Mans doesn't even have a last name (or a birthday....which is VERY important when it comes to anime characters). I've only read a little bit on the manga, so I don't know if there's more on Obi's backstory' in there. But as far as character development goes, he gets a reasonable amount, I guess. He has his "dangerous" side, but also an adorable, fun side. Which this video showcases both. Ugh, I could gush about him forever.
I've been wanting to use this song for a video for awhile now. I guess I was saving it for a special mans. And Obi is very special to me. No matter how much anime I watch and how many other characters I claim to love, a piece of my heart will always belong to Obi. I actually made this video MONTHS ago. But I had a lot of fun making it. And even made it longer than I originally planned.
