Footnote:
Published on Cookaway Music formed by Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway back in 1968 after a few years with Maribus (DJM) and Mills Music. This is Scottish theatre, television, singer, Lena Martell (aka Helen Thomson) performing “Four And Twenty Hours (Seven Days Of Every Week I Love You)”. Song composer credits on the 7” vinyl, states Carter and Ford (John Carter and Perry Ford), however these are incorrect details, and should of been credited to Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway. The record company realised the error, but it was too late. Except for pressings over in Lebanon! Produced by George Elrick, John Macleod, and musical arrangements by Bob Leaper. Released on 45 and from her album “This Is Lena Martell” via Pye Records in 1973, and 3 years later on her album “Passport”. The song has also been covered by many over the years including The Fortunes, Frankie Vaughan, Sally Boyden, Nana Mouskouri, Brenda’s Grace, Euson (aka Julio Bernardo Euson), The Drifters and many more.
Something different for a change instead of hearing the same hits over and over again, I have dug out 3 thousand related songs to Roger Cook and Roger Greenaway. All are NON HITS!
I will be playing one song a day. It looks like I'll be finished in around 9 years time! All songs are somehow related to Cook & Greenaway. Written, Produced, Performed, Back vocal, Record label, Publishing. ENJOY!
