Corrupt Squirtle Video
I received a message from one of my subscribers, charemthecharmeleon, asking if I did requests, as in databending a video of their choice. The chosen video was a whole TV show! I was given the option of picking a small section of the 22 minute video to play with.
First of all I converted the clip I had picked into a variety of video file formats I hadn't tried before and proceeded to databend them using WordPad and Audacity. Nothing visually interesting came out of it. Although the Real Video (*.rmvb) Format made some sounds I liked and I used them in the final video.
Afterwards I decided to take a different approach. I converted the 442 separate frames of the 18 second clip into Bitmap image files (*.bmp). I then corrupted each individual image using Audacity audio software. When I had finally damaged the last image I put the frames back together using Avidemux.
