This is another databend using Audacity audio effects on an AVI video file. This time round I used a different codec. I applied the fade in, fade out, cross fade in and cross fade out filters.
If you want to do this at home what you need to do is import your video into Audacity as raw data making sure it's A-law. Once the file has loaded highlight the areas you want apply the filter to, making sure not to select the header or footer. Then apply the effect. Once done save as a Raw headerless file making sure it's A-law and that you have added the file extension at the end of the name you have given the video. Applying audio effects only works on certain types of video files and codecs. I will let you work out which for yourself.
Some of the Audacity effects can produce really interesting results and others can be quite mundane. Such as producing a negative image, change in colour or flipping the picture.
