Get Rid of the Infinite Mirror Effect in OBS Studio - Easy Streaming Tip for Display Capture Mode
For the last couple weeks, when streaming games like Destiny 2 or Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II, I’ve found myself having to use OBS Studio’s Display Capture mode as a source for my gameplay instead of the slightly preferable Game Capture mode.
One big annoyance with this method is the infinite-mirroring effect that occurs when you’re live-streaming and you glance at OBS: you see your face, the OBS Studio interface, and your in-canvas content echoing into infinity, and it looks awful — unprofessional, even. But there’s an easy fix! To get rid of the mirroring effect, you simply make it so that OBS Display Capture doesn’t record or capture itself by checking the appropriate box in your OBS settings.
