New Chrome Builds on Mobile Googlebot 3 in 10 days - Crawl or No Crawl Report - 21 February 2023

You can find this data on American Way Media - search for google index detector and it’s the top result -
We’ve got another new bot - showed up on Feb 19th - mobile, chrome update to 110.0.5481.100
So expect to see things that you thought were indexed and served but now either aren’t served or perhaps indexed in search console.
TO review - new bots with updated chrome builds
Launched Feb 10th
Another Feb 16th
And the latest Feb 19th
All of these were mobile bots
Normally the pattern was new mobile and next new bot was the same chrome build but in desktop
That isn’t happening at the moment -
Right now the most recent confirmed desktop build is GB 23 which showed up Feb 10th - no sign of a desktop 24 or 25 yet to match the mobile variations
What I’ve learned from the past year and a half is when you see the introduction of a new mobile bot - there is always a rollback - and guess what I’ve started seeing before I went looking for the new bot appearance -
Rollback!
One weird thing I noticed in today’s server log - on the Mobile test site - google initiating requests for pages that have never been a part of this test site - even checking way back machine shows only the content I’ve published on this site. Of course the status on those pulls is 404 page not found - I did confirm the IPs are those of google bot.
Speaking of bots, As promised I have been faithful in updating the bot record here
Also testing rendering - I do have it on the mobile site - but I also have a desktop crawler compiled site

And understand that your designation does not mean that your site is ONLY crawled by mobile or desktop - it just means that the data INSIDE your search console has been compiled by the data of that crawler agent
Here’s what I think you can expect to hear from the seo masses
People telling you they were hit by the recent update.
They lost their traffic
They lost their pages
They had pages that were indexed and served but now are not served.
What we do know is there’s been multiple new chrome builds and rollback.
