In this tutorial, I will show you how to make Halftone dots effect on text in Adobe Illustrator. First step, create a text. Adjust the font, scale, and position on the text. After that, right-click. Choose Create Outlines. Go to Effects in the Menu. Blur, select Gaussian Blur.
Set the blur radius value. This setting will affect the dots' appearance. Go to Effects again. Select Rasterize. In the background option, I use White. Then select Ok. Go to Effects one more time. Pixelate. Then select Color Halftone.
On the Color Halftone settings window, I set the value to be like that. And then select Ok. To remove the white background color, in the Transparency section, I use Multyply mode. And the result will look like this.
