A Powerful Sense of Dread | Elektron Octatrack
This track was developed during testing with MIDI loopback LFOs, which can often cause strange behavior that make them difficult to use predictably and effectively.
As I did before on 'Essence of the Machine' I decided to use arrangement mode to compose initial sections, and take manual control to provide a bit more of a human touch and help create additional variations.
One 'live' re-sampling channel is utilized. Recorded direct from the Octatrack main outs, post-production compression, EQ, and limiting applied.
