They say you're never too old to learn, well I proved that yesterday!!

Anna (@fairviewcottage.annanolan), one of my IG OrganiSZer students asked me whether I knew about the optical character recognition functionality within OneNote. I'd never heard of it!

She needed to have some documents converted from PDF to Word documents, so was investigating that when she found out that OneNote had this functionality.

It's very useful if for argument's sake, you've found a quote on the internet that's in an image and you want to use it but create your own design around it.

Here are the steps:
• take a screenshot with whatever piece of software you use, I use Snagit but you can use the snipping tool on PC to take a screenshot;
• copy and paste the image onto a blank page in your OneNote;
• right-click on the image to bring up the contextual menu and select the 'Copy text from picture' option;
• click back into the page somewhere and press 'Ctrl + v' or right-click and select the 'Paste' option.
• Job done!!

Who knew it even existed and how easy it would be to copy words from an image!!

No wonder I LOVE OneNote so much!!

for more quick tips, you know where to find me! 😃

Hope you found this useful!
Big hugs till next time 🤗💝💖

PS: Thanks to Catharina ( catharina.lilja) as I used her post in my example!
PPS: Unfortunately it does not on the Mac version and also isn't available in the online version.
