Celtic-Cross-Road
Finished this intersection just in time for St. Patrick's Day, a Highway Intersection inspired by the design of the Celtic Cross. It's really just a standard roundabout highway interchange, but with raised thru lanes and dedicated lanes for right-turning traffic. These dedicated lanes are not just for decoration (although they do add a lot to the Celtic-Cross effect) they also take a lot of strain off the roundabout which is now only used by traffic turning left (except of course for potential U-turns). The Intersection uses only two levels, so no tunnels or double-height bridges/overpasses and dedicated lanes for thru-traffic. There are cheaper and more efficient Intersections out there, but this one, I think, looks good and can also handle reasonably high volumes of traffic.
As a Cities:Skylines asset I've added it to the Steam Workshop (link below) so anybody can download, modify and use it. It requires the Mass Transit DLC for the 2-lane and 4-lane highways. No mods are required, but as with any roundabouts, TM:PE is highly recommended, particularly for sorting out the roundabout merging.
