Rasika Raghavan recently graduated from the University of Michigan, studying classical voice and opera performance. She knew she loved music and she also knew she was not ready to be a starving musician, so she kept her music major and did extra curricular activities to explore other topics. This lead her to joining clubs and getting internships in the marketing and finance world. She now works for Anheuser Busch and is seeing that her love for music can be applied in many different ways and she says that her arts background translates very well into other industries. Rasika's advice to students: Be open to everything in your 20s, part of it is luck. Your major is not an end all, be all. It does not define your career path, it's the experiences you pick up and how well you perform them. When choosing jobs out of college, choose the lifestuyle you want to have and make sure your career fits that. Lastly, don't go into a career just for money. It's not the right reason and will not bring you happiness in the long run.
