Bringing together media officers from municipalities in Libya's East, South and West
In collaboration with the Ministry of Local Government, UNDP held a two-day Communications and Media Workshop in Tripoli as part of its Local Peacebuilding and Resilience efforts through the Baladiyati project funded by the European Union.
Through practical training and discussions, the workshop equipped media officers from 17 municipalities with skills to enhance their communication with citizens, spread peace messages, and tackle hate speech.
The workshop also included representatives from the Ministry's Women Empowerment unit to enhance the role of women at the municipality level in media and communications.
