GSACRD - Nature Kindergarten
Early childhood learning curricula provides each child with the foundations of education, such as literacy, math, and speech. But can we expand on these foundational skills at this early age to provide additional opportunities? With Nature Kindergarten, we set out to do just this.
Learning about nature provides kids with exploration skills, piques their curiosity, and exposes them to new ways of thinking. Nature Kindergarten is a full-day program where children experience the regular educational curriculum in the morning, then spend the afternoon outdoors learning about the flora and fauna of our environment.
Exposing kids to nature early on gives them opportunities to make their own discoveries, experiment with new textures and smells, and understand the balance of plants, insects, and animals. It introduces them to research and investigation skills and teaches them to create their own learning opportunities.
Nature Kindergarten is open to everyone. You don’t have to be Catholic to enroll your child in this program. If you are interested in expanding your child’s education, we’d love to have you.
