Love these arrows I made in 2018. I used spruce shafts for the first time, they are said to be lighter which is good for faster wooden arrows.
I used self-prepared, white goose feather fletchings wrapped in silk thread, beautiful!
If you’d like to be able to prepare fletchings yourself, I've written a book, ‘Preparing Natural Goose Feathers For Fletching Wooden Arrows.' Available on Amazon as a paperback and on Kindle.
This will save time, research and a learning curve. Included are colour images, step by step instructions, tips, how to fix and avoid mistakes, a bit of anatomy and history, how to recognise which feathers, glossary of terms, etc.
The techniques used in this book are just as good for other types of natural feathers too!
Available on Amazon as a paperback and on Kindle.
