Today I am practising different distances but not very long, different targets at different distances, different angles, height and directions. You will also see me shoot mostly at short draws for the quicker instinctive releases.
This is a very relaxed archery session but still managing to enjoy more challenging moves and techniques to improve my skills.
It is taking time to get back on form as you will see with form errors and missing the target, (yes I wanted to show that I do miss!) but still having a lot of fun thinking up new ways to develop old and new skills.
Below, I have labelled each section, with the time included, for your easy viewing:
01.23 Today's session - various targets at different distances, angles, height, styles and directions using short draws for the quicker instinctive releases.
00.12 Just a gentle warm up to start.
00.45 Next, the Longman target. (That's what I call it) :)
00.51 It's simply a very large cardboard box!
01.00 Now for a slightly longer distance.
01.07 Another different target now, you will see it in a minute. It's leaning against the bottom of a small hill.
01.38 Different direction & angle with a little extra challenge.
01.45 Shooting at small flying geese between some branches!
02.02 Oops, completely missed! The arrow flew into the undergrowth behind the target! Good news though, I found it later.
02.24 Notice the shorter draws for slightly quicker, instinctive shooting & releases.
02.37 Lastly, new height, stance & bow style.
02.45 Again, shooting small flying geese through more branches, :~)
02.45 Thankyou For Watching, Bye For Now.

A little about me: I am a British traditional, instinctive, female archer who enjoys shooting the English Longbow. I like to explore and experiment with different styles. techniques in many positions and forms. And am always trying out as many creative ways to do so as that I can think of.
I'm happily married to my husband who happens to be my camera man and does an amazing job of capturing photos and videos of my archery shooting practice sessions. You will hear and see him from time to time.
My main shooting ground is the garden, be it the back, front, side of the yard, doesn't matter to me. Although distance of the shot can be limited, it enables me to practice in my own time and more space to experiment with my shooting training.
I hope you enjoy watching this short video of some of my favourite highlights and shots and have gained some new archery tips to help you in your own archery journey.
