Lakatoro to Lamap by truck
Crossing a large double river halfway between Lakatoro and Lamap near Unua 5, Malekula Island, Vanuatu. I wouldn't like to try this in the wet season, the road is often closed then. Luckily for me, this is July, the dry season. April to September are good months to travel around islands like this. Don't be misled by the term 'dry season'. It's warm and humid even in winter and Vanuatu has been struck by cyclones in every month except one.
