Sent Jour Video 4 Spot Landing Contest
The Sentimental Journey fly-in, welcomes all flyers and all types of planes, and is one of the America’s best-loved and most family-friendly fly-ins. There are all sorts of flying events at Sentimental Journey, including poker runs, flour bombing contests, and fly-outs to little-known hideaways. But one of the biggest attractions is the spot-landing contest every Saturday (weather permitting). Usually between four and twenty airplanes participate; most are taildraggers but some nose-wheel planes and homebuilts get in on the fun. All the action in this video was collected over a couple of years. The flying all is on our taildragger-friendly grass runway, which is a little over 2,000 feet long. One thing is for sure: nobody gets bored at Sentimental Journey.
