Introducing the Sentimental Journey Fly-in (June 17-21, 2025)
This video is a quick introduction to the Sentimental Journey fly-in, which is one of the America’s best and most family-friendly fly-ins. Aircraft of all types are welcome (and non-flyers too) but we have a special place in our hearts for taildraggers and antiques. Centrally located in the middle of Pennsylvania, you’re less than a two-hour hop from almost any location in New York, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Ohio. And be sure of this: flying to Lock Haven is a treat. Lock Haven is in a beautiful valley in the Appalachians, and the runway borders the Susquehanna River. The scenery of central Pennsylvania is stunning.At the fly-in, there are spot-landing contests, poker runs, informative forums offering insights into all things aeronautical, food vendors, free beer every night after 6pm, and live music when the sun goes down. We’ve got a taildragger-friendly grass runway, plus 3,800-foot paved runway. Both plane-side tent camping and RV campsites available. We’ve got hot showers and running water. If you prefer the comforts of hotels, the fly-In offers free transportation to the hotels in town. One thing is for sure: nobody gets bored at Sentimental Journey.
