Light Twin Departs Triple Tree in the Mud, Feb-1-2025
The runway at Triple Tree (SC00) in Woodruff, SC had been softened by a hard rain the night before the annual "Chilly Chili" luncheon on Feb. 1, 2025. After the arrival and departure of a couple hundred planes, the soft and muddy areas at the southern end of the field had swollen to cover much of the runway. Here, a Cessna 310 twin plows through one particularly muddy patch and launches into the sky.
