Celebrating Eugene Levy 'JOHNNY ROSE' Pokey LaFarge AIN'T COMING HOME
The final in my quartet of Emmy nominated comedic performers from 'Schitt's Creek' is the series co-creator and star, the legendary Eugene Levy. I have already posted clips highlighting 'Alexis' (Annie Murphy), 'David' (Daniel Levy) and of course the sublime Catherine O'Hara's 'Moira Rose'. In its 6th and final season the show has finally received the sort of acclaim that America should have recognised from the very first season. Eugene Levy, well known for his film work over the years is the master of the perturbed expression and his comedic timing and straight man to the rest of the quirky cast is the rock on which the entire ensemble rests. I have used the idiosyncratic Pokey LaFarge and a track from his 2020 opus 'Rock Bottom Rhapsody' - the jaunty 'Ain't Coming Home'
