COREY HART Sunglasses At Night EXTENDED VERSION
This 1984 classic was a huge hit outside of Canadian singer Corey Hart's region, and although he recorded and scored countless successful recordings in his 40 career, he is perhaps best known for this great track. It was something of a video and radio staple back in the second half of that year; thanks to the clever lyric and the good looks of the performer which made him and the song a big hit.
'Sunglasses At Night' reached #16 here in Australia, whilst going higher on the Billboard American pop chart (US #7). Interestingly the track was not instantly embraced in his native country as much - only making #24 but the second single from his debut opus 'First Offense' - 'It Ain't Enough' was a massive success in Canada, With 9 Billboard hits, and 30 in Canada, Corey is no one hit wonder, but 'Sunglasses At Night' - with its moody production and edgy vocal is a pretty fine signature hit for the singer/songwriter.
