Chance to Dance
Florida Dance Theatre has been a Downtown Lakeland staple for 23 years with well-known company performances like Romeo and Juliet.
Their mission includes increasing awareness and appreciation of dance for all children with community outreach. A Chance to Dance is their scholarship camp for students aged 8-10 who might not otherwise have access to dance training.
LkldTV stopped by during the end-of-camp parent performance to talk with the students about why camps such as these are important for Lakeland. Florida Dance Theatre is holding an open house on August 19th and will begin accepting applications for next year’s summer camp in January.
