Lakeland women from all walks of life form the Swan City Roller Derby team. LkldTV stopped by Lake Parker Roller Rink to watch a practice and learn more about the sport from Blocker Mary K. Leslie.
Coach Brandy Cannoy is the driving force behind the formation of the team. Veteran skater Tess Tapia calls her teammates sisters and appreciates that roller derby provides her with an athletic pursuit and a social activity.
