The Peacemakers
The PeaceMakers LKLD is a group of local creatives inspired to use their talents and gifts to give back to the community. LkldTV spoke with Founder Chanique Davis to find out more about the group's first event called H.E.A.R.T (Hope Expressed Through Art Restoration Therapy).
Her goal is to use creativity as a therapeutic tool to help the community cope with homelessness. The event will include 12 large paint stations in Munn Park Historic District with large canvases on which the homeless community and the public can come together to create collaborative art pieces.
After the event, the pieces will be exhibited at ART/ifact studios and the donations of toiletry items and blankets collected at the event will be distributed to the homeless camps. #thepeacemakers #heart #arttherapy
