LkldTV had the unique opportunity to interview Amy Cassick, an Emergency Department nurse, and Fred Blind, M.D., an emergency medicine physician at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center.
They told us what it takes to work at what was identified as the busiest single-site Emergency Department in the country with more than 217,000 Emergency Department visits in 2016.
We asked about the highlights and toughest aspects of their jobs, and what the hospital’s recent two-year improvement project did to help the entire department and the patients they serve.
