Episode 2: Reading Fluency - Partner Reading
In the second part of our series on reading fluency, we feature Partner Reading, a simple strategy that allows the readers to read collaboratively. Two students take turns to read the same passage three times, each time going back to the start of the passage. They follow as the other reads, support one another to read more fluently, correct errors and calculate the words read per minute. With repeated reading of the same passage, the students are able to read with more confidence, learn from one another, and see visible progress in the final reading as compared to the first one.
