Episode 3: Reading Fluency - Gateway's FABLe App
As educators, we constantly need reliable and authentic ways to assess our students' reading levels and accordingly find the right intervention plan. To do that, Gateway has created the FABLe app (Fluency Assessment and Benchmarking in Literacy Education), which is an easy-to-use and quick tool to assess reading fluency. This one minute assessment provides data on the words read correctly per minute, types of errors, retell quality, and then places the student in the appropriate group based on the intensity of intervention needed to achieve their benchmarking goal.
