Episode 8: Getting Ready to Write (Part 1)
At Gateway for our early learners, we explicitly teach handwriting skills. This means a lot of focus in the classroom needs to be on building the foundational skills, or as we call it the 'pre-writing skills'. For example, building core and muscle strength, coordination between both sides of the body, pencil control, handwriting strokes, etc. In this episode you will see how we build these skills by doing simple activities using handwriting aids and accommodations.
