This session was presented at the Imaging the Future Forum as part of international celebrations of World Creativity and Innovation Week (wciw.org) sponsored by Haggerty & Haggerty Digital and My Favorite Art Place.

Budget challenges for the Arts in the US are nothing new. Over 20 years ago a creative partnership was formed between the Pinellas County Schools Art Department and the non-profit Morean Arts Center, a community arts center with a mission of connecting the community to art.

In this panel, you hear from the three key perspectives essential to this program's success. Amanda Cooper as the Curator of Exhibitions at the Morean Arts Center will detail how the experience students and families share during the gallery exhibition transforms their understanding of the impact of art and potential career pathways associated with refining and developing this skill. Former Pinellas County Schools Fine Arts Director Sue Castleman, now a member of the Morean Board of Trustees will speak to the public school processes and curriculum alignment. Artist Riley Corlett will speak on her experiences as a student and how it influenced her journey as a professional artist.
