As the Executive Director of the Pinellas Sheriff's Police Athletic League (PAL), Neil oversees day to day operations in one of the toughest most neglected neighborhoods in Pinellas County. PAL provides academic, mentoring, leadership and sports programs to give young people positive activities. Neil presented this session at the Imaging the Future Forum as part of international celebrations of World Creativity and Innovation Week.
In his session, Neil talks about the creative and innovative ways he and his team have improved the lives of the youth they serve.
Since 2013, Neil Brickfield has been the Executive Director of the Pinellas Sheriff’s Police Athletic League serving at-risk youth in the Lealman area of Pinellas County. PAL is a nationwide nonprofit organization that works in some of the toughest neighborhoods in America. Neil has served the Pinellas Community in many ways, he has owned two small businesses, has served as a little league coach, class Dad, math Dad, mentor, Rotarian, elected official, Jr Achievement Volunteer and Boy Scout Leader.
Today, Neil works in the Lealman area of Pinellas, the toughest most neglected area of our community. The Pal program offers young people a chance to improve their lives, get new experiences, or for some young people a safe place to go.
Before joining the PAL program Neil served as an elected County Commissioner in Pinellas, a County of almost 1 million citizens and as owner of Brickfield & Associates Inc. When he is not helping our community, Neil loves to spend time with his wife of 31+ years, Kelley and his Children Travis & his wife Kristina, Shaun & Daughter Erin.
