Field Notes Friday: Burnap's Island
Last week Cassie Bernyk, UVLT Stewardship Programs Coordinator, paddled out with two UVLT campsite adopters to check on our Burnap's Island campsite. UVLT currently has 8 campsites along the Connecticut River that are managed by volunteer campsite adopters. These campsites are accessed only from the river and make for a great resting spot whether you're on the river for a couple of days or paddling the whole Connecticut River Paddler's Trail.
All of our campsites are currently closed for the season, but will re-open for the 2025 season in early May. If you have any questions or are interested in volunteering at one of our sites, please email Cassie for more information ([email protected]).
