Field Notes Friday: Firewood Assistance Program
This week Cassie Bernyk, Stewardship Programs Coordinator, was at our Up on the Hill Conservation Area in Charlestown, NH checking out our current stack of firewood for UVLT's Firewood Assistance Program. So far this fall we have been able to provide 4 cords of firewood to assist families heating with wood stoves.
Thanks to a group of volunteers from Hypertherm Associates, we were able to add a few more cords of dry split firewood to our wood shed before the winter season!
