Replaced regular ball greasers with self-made greasers of bulk design for lubrication of all friction points of the MN-80 machine: spindle bearings, caliper guides, tailstock quills and lead screw bearings.
I improved the lubrication of the machine
replacement of regular ball-type oilers with self-made oilers of bulk design,
by making an additional oil supply to the PB bearings through the adjusting screws,
making a distribution groove in the ZB to improve the quill lubrication,
improving the lubrication of the bed by replacing the felt inserts.
More details on how I improved the lubrication of the machine are shown in several of my videos, the addresses are in the description.

It is inconvenient to supply oil through regular oilers with a ball valve for many reasons. Therefore, I replaced the regular oilers with simple bulk, classic ones.
This is shown in my video “Machine MN-80. FILLING OIL CANS instead of standard ones":

The stock grease fittings are pressed into the body. And getting them out of there in the event of a breakdown or replacement is problematic. How I press the ball valve oiler out of the headstock housing is shown in the same video.
I have long since replaced regular ball greasers with homemade classic simple bulk greasers for PB and ZB. And now I replaced them on the caliper.
Through two oilers, the sliding surfaces of the caliper along the frame are lubricated. Through the other two - dovetails are lubricated in a transverse feed.
And three oilers lubricate the lead screws.
Through bulk oilers it is convenient to control the presence of oil and replenish it in time. All grease fittings have caps to protect the grease fittings from dirt.
The video briefly talks about the PB lubrication of this machine. More details about this are described in the video "Lathe MN 80. MODERNIZATION OF LUBRICATION OF THE SPINDLE":
   • Токарный станок МН 80.  МОДЕРНИЗАЦИЯ ...
Each of the PB bearings is lubricated through two oilers.
One of them stands in its regular place, but now it is not ball-shaped, but self-made, bulk.
Oil through each of these oilers does not immediately enter the friction zone, but flows into a special cavity, into the oil sump. And from there, through the felt, it enters directly into the friction zone of the spindle.
This system has drawbacks. Without removing the spindle and bearing, it is impossible to know if the contact of the spindle neck with the felt insert has disappeared. And in general it is not known whether there is an insert there.
Therefore, I duplicated the lubrication of the spindle journals for both bearings. To do this, I replaced the screws that are used when adjusting the radial clearances of the bearings with screws with holes.
Therefore, I now have two oilers for each PB bearing: a bulk, home-made (instead of a ball) and a screw oiler.
I also improved the lubrication of the tailstock: quills and lead screw.

On the lead screw, I simply replaced the ball oiler with a self-made bulk one.
And to improve the lubrication of the quills, I machined an annular groove of variable depth in the PB body, in the area of \u200b\u200bthe oiler in the middle of the body, so that the oil is evenly distributed not only along the length, but also around the circumference of the quill.
The groove was made with eccentricity so that the oil does not flow into the longitudinal groove in the quill.
I also improved the lubrication of the bed guides along which the caliper moves.
This is shown in the video “Lathe MN-80. GREASING THE GUIDES OF THE BED»:

I made the pads a little different shape to ensure their contact with all sliding surfaces on the bed, including the bottom ones.
In addition, I replaced the ball oilers with bulk ones and on the lead screw of the caliper in three places.
