Washington DC Food Highlights
Food highlights from our trip to Washington DC. There’s A LOT of food options in DC, and these were the ones you guys recommended the most.
1. @lardentedc - this place had one of my favorite dishes of the trip. To start, we got the beef and pork meatballs, homemade focaccia and duck hunt ravioli. And for the main, carbonara, 40 layer lasagna, pappardelle and spaghetti. Flambé tiramisu and ice cream to finish.
Everything was really good, super fresh but that duck hunt ravioli appetizer was my favorite. Those raviolis were served in this amazing mushroom sauce. I could eat 100 of them 😂
The 40 layer lasagna is their most popular dish. Very instagramable 😂 but also very delicious
2. @oldebbitt - this is the oldest bar and restaurant in DC. Super cool vibe inside, great service and located right by the White House.
To start, more meatballs, mussels and raw oysters. The mussels, served in that delicious broth with the crusty bread, were AMAZING 👌🏻
For the main, their famous crab cakes, salmon and steak frites.
3. @jessietaylor.seafood - Can’t visit DC and not get steamed crabs. Located in the Warf neighborhood, this place was awesome. We got a bag of seasoned and steamed crabs and went to town.
Kids loved cracking the crabs and picking out the meat.
Lots of food options in DC and we barely scratched the surface 😂
