How to switch wax colors in your glue gun
Let’s talk about how to switch from using one color of wax to another.
Option 1 is to put in a glue stick after the first color. Let the glue stick run completely through the gun and then add the second color. You will get a few seals that are a mix of glue and wax, but this is the best practice for switching colors.
Option 2 is to put the second color of wax in right after the first. The result will be some marbling of the two colors. This can look really pretty and look not so great depending on the colors you have.
If you ever find yourself doing a large amount of seals in severals colors, it can be worth investing in a glue gun for each color.
