STEVE MILLER BAND Abracadabra ALBUM VERSION
It is 40 years since the American rock band Steve Miller Band released their classic hit 'Abracadabra' and it would go on to become their biggest success and a defining track from 1982. Issued in May, the song would eventually be a #1 in 8 countries including Australia and in their homeland, where it was the 9th best seller of the year. 'Abracadabra' spent a pair of weeks atop our chart, and spookily it did so for the same in America, but non consecutive ; interrupted by Chicago's 'Hard To Say I'm Sorry', and again spookily mirroring the chart progress of the band's earlier hit 'Rock N Me' which in another bizarre coincidence was interrupted by another Chicago song 'If You Leave Me Now'. Quite spooky and possibly a bit of chart magic - Abracadabra!
