In this video, I'm going to share my thoughts on Team USA's performance in all the games they've played like Canada, Australia, Serbia, and South Sudan, thus far. The USA Men's Paris Olympic team was constructed a few months ago and fans were delighted to hear that their favorite superstars had accepted to participate and compete for Team USA. Lebron James, Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant are widely regarded as the 3 best basketball players of this generation and to see them team up to compete for a gold medal, you can't ask for anything as a basketball fan.

Lebron James and Kevin Durant have competed in this type of setting for many years whereas the franchise player for the Golden State Warriors has yet to win an Olympic Gold Medal. Along with the big 3 are some of the best players in the NBA that are among the top 10. Guys like Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Bam Adebayo, Joel Embiid, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, Tyrese Haliburton, etc, are looking to provide necessities in order to achieve gold. The talent of the roster is absolutely unmatched. You have the player that is arguably the best player ever, the greatest shooter ever, the greatest scorer ever, the best defender in the league, the scoring champion, I mean the list just goes on and on. So because of this, fans are led to believe that this roster should not only be able to get the job done but also completely wipe out their competition around the world. It's safe to say that there are some very high expectations for this team.

However, even though on paper it looks like no other country in the world can stand a chance against this stacked roster, they're not exactly as superior as people think. There are many reasons that contribute to this. The obvious reason is that teams all around the world have gotten a lot better at the game of basketball then they were before. These teams have increased skill, talent, intelligence, and most importantly, chemistry and execution. They master different parts of the game that NBA players/teams don't have to because of the changes in environmental play and the physical gifts. These players also have extensive training experience as a team during the Olympics. Whereas Team USA does not have that luxury because there is never a consistent roster.

On top of that, in a roster full of superstar talent, players have to make sure that they can fit in with other superstars. This either means they have to alter their game or play with certain players that can complement their game. If not, there's a very good chance of Team USA not operating as a good functioning team which can lead to inconsistencies on both ends of the floor. The best players in the world can have similar attributes or play styles that can interfere with other players or it doesn't contribute as a necessity.
