In this video, I'm going to recap all of the Warrior's free agency moves thus far. It's been an eventful offseason for the Golden State Warriors that is filled with good and bad moments. After an underwhelming season filled with a ton of inconsistencies and disappointment despite achieving a better record, a ton of questions started to spark up about the team's championship window that revolved around their big three of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green. But most importantly, Klay Thompson has had better seasons in the past and it was unknown whether or not he was going to stay with the team.

Klay Thompson has been one of the best shooters the game has ever seen. Partnered up with his longtime friend/teammate who happens to be the greatest shooter of all time, Steph Curry, he has been able to deliver a lot of great performances for the franchise. However, things would take a turn for his career when he suffered an ACL tear in the 2019 NBA finals that would jeopardize his career. He would miss the entirety of the following season and unfortunately, the catastrophic events didn't end there for him. Before the start of the 2021 NBA season, it was reported that Klay had suffered another season-ending injury with an Achilles tear on the right foot. This inevitably made him miss the following season where he missed out on the chance to play basketball with his other 2 championship teammates. After a long 941 days of not playing basketball, Klay was able to finally suit up after long hours of rehab and he was able to contribute to the Warriors winning a championship that year.

In the 2022 NBA playoffs, the Warriors won their 4th title in 8 years and Klay was a contributing factor in that postseason run. However, his responsibilities during that title run weren't as significant as guys like Poole and Wiggins who had bigger and more important tasks than him. His value wasn't the same as he was in his prime. Following the championship season, Klay would have a very inconsistent season where he wasn't a consistent scoring option. Sadly, that also translated to the playoffs and he didn't have a great postseason that year. And then last season, it was a bit of the same as well. His capabilities of being a 2-way player are no longer the same post-injury. So because fo this, conversations of Klay taking a pay cut started to rise which led to uncertainty about whether or not he'll stay with the team since Klay views himself differently. As a result, Klay Thompson is going to take his talents to the Dallas Mavericks in hopes of revitalizing his career.
