It was too small. I'm the type to pack an overhead carry on along with a personal item backpack for most trips. I've gotten used to using the Away Bigger Carryon with Pouch. It's just about the biggest rolling carry on you can bring onto a plane and I've so far...not gotten denied on any flight I've taken. The only drawback to most hard luggage is that it opens right down the middle and isn't easily opened on a luggage rack. Most of the time, you have to pack it on the floor, with both sides opened up. I was thinking, if they made a hard side with the opening of a soft side, it'd be the best of both worlds. Soft sides usually have a small, thin lid with the bulk of the packing space as a large, wide open compartment.
Lojel seemed to answer my request. But, I found it too small. It was about an inch shorter and a little thinner. I packed it out with a 9 day trip's worth of gear and it barely fit. The Away still felt like it could take more.
So, easy decision. Send it back.
I'm a bit salty that Lojel makes you eat the shipping back. Away doesn't.
Anyway, check out the video for more info.
