To fix the quill, it was necessary to tighten the handle very strongly.
Disassembled the tailstock. It can be seen from the inside that the body of the ZB is cut in the region of the propeller.
And it's not visible from the outside.
I scratched the paint a little and found that there really is a groove.
It turned out that the groove was not putty, but an old tree.
Cleared the groove.
Probably, the developers of the machine knowingly placed a piece of wood in the groove. So I decided to do the same. I took an old beech wooden ruler, cut and fitted a piece of the ruler to the shape of the groove. Inserted a wooden liner into the groove.
Now the fixation is good, the quill is easy to fix.
