Lending A Hand Side Contracts - Anthem - Ep 7 - Working Well With Others
Welcome to Mythkiller Productions! As always, I will be your host, SiriMythkiller, as I got back on track and continued the Anthem storyline by helping out the three main factions in Fort Tarsis.
First up was Matthias Sumner, the brilliant Arcanist who is a man of action, even when that action get him into trouble. He needed me to go investigate a site where invisible runes might be...visible. This is to further his research on the Elysian Manuscript. The process was rather simple; bring echoes to a relic to kickstart some kind of alarming device that would then allow me to see these runes. However, the echoes were spread out over a MASSIVE area and our activity attracted wolvens, skorpions, and scar. Thankfully, nothing too terrible showed up and we were able to collect the runes without incident.
Next up was a contract from the Freelancer Commander Yarrow. Some arcanists needed protection while they ran seismic test to make sure the foundation of Fort Tarsis was stable. These tests apparently attract all sorts of nasty creatures. There were two teams, the player team and another team lead by Freelance Rythe. Our first test went off without a hitch but we had to rescue the second team from Scars. Rythe hadn’t checked in for a while so we went to check on her, only to find more Scars. A trail of their bodies led us to Rythe and the arcanists in a cave under heavy fire. Our team cleaned the Scar out and we all headed back to Fort Tarsis with nothing more than bruises and scrapes.
Our final mission was to help Sentinel Brin with a Scar infestation around an arcanist research base. When we arrived, the place was crawling but the arcanists safely made it to the safehouse. Their research, however, was missing. I left most of the shooting to my squadmates and sniffed around the junk piles. No relics but Brin did locate a cave where one might be hidden. Sure enough, there was a relic and the Scar had somehow activated it! The other Interceptor and I got all the pieces back together lickity split while the others mopped up the Scar. It was a job well done all around.
Thanks to those missions, I unlocked a new Javelin and upgraded my Sentinel Loyalty!
When I returned to the fort, I got a strange message from Owen to meet him in the bar. But that will have to wait till next time!
